Elder Sharon McLendon is the daughter of Pastor Jane Hasty and the late Calvin Hasty. She earned a Bachelor Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

 

Elder Sharon McLendon is a member of New Greater St. James Word, Praise and Worship Ministries, Inc. in Laurinburg, North Carolina. She has served the ministry as Adult Sunday School teacher, Praise and Worship Leader, and President of the Outreach Ministry. She has facilitated New Beginners Classes, Women’s Development, Single’s Workshops, Couple’s Workshop and Youth seminars. She also served foreign missions in the Philippine Islands. She believes in reaching the lost, equipping the body of Christ to disciple, teaching the Word of God and encouraging believers to serve outside their comfort zones.

 

In her desire to do the will of God, and to obey His voice, Elder Sharon McLendon is the Co-Pastor of New Greater St. James Word, Praise and Worship Ministries, Inc. She works closely with the leadership team in community outreach and cascading the church’s vision to the Executive Board and church members. God is moving the ministry forward and we are in agreement and alignment with His will as we fulfill our assignment. Sharon is a servant-leader and continues to allow God to use her in any capacity.
